Inde Navarette is Hollywood's Next It-Girl

On May 15th, the new indie horror film Obsession, written and directed by Curry Barker, hit theaters. The story is set around a wish gone wrong, causing a man's longtime crush to become horrifyingly obsessed with him.

Since then, the film has absolutely exploded and has made 10 times its one million dollar budget. The cast was comprised of fairly unknown actors, including the film's female lead, Inde Navarrette, who gave a bone-chilling performance as Nikki Freeman. While the movie has become a surprising box office hit, the small ensemble of actors from the film is getting their well-deserved recognition, and Navarrette is at the forefront of it all.

Inde Navarrette, 25, has been known for her roles in Netflix's 13 Reasons Why and the CW's Superman & Lois. While these are both shows that did fairly well for themselves, the writing was never enough to showcase Inde's true talents. Curry Barker's script for Obsession did just that. She is absolutely captivating on screen. She's cute, and then she's immediately terrifying. The difference between the "real Nikki" and the "possessed Nikki" is something that Navarrette completely nails. You can always tell who is talking throughout the film's duration. Her performance in this role is already gaining critical acclaim and recognition, and it's safe to say that Inde Navarrette is about to skyrocket into stardom.

On top of her incredible talent and charisma, everything about Navarrette screams cool girl. She has an amazing sense of style and is incredibly laid-back and relatable in interviews. In an interview with Wonderland Magazine, she talked about her obsessions, which included funky nails, The Bald and the Beautiful with Trixie and Katya, dive bars, big sunnies, and more. It won't be long before this girl is on the cover of every magazine.
